Our Story
Why we built this
We didn't set out to start a company. We set out to read a label.
What we found there is the reason all of this exists.
If you have ever stood in a supermarket aisle, turned a tin of children's nutrition around, and slowly realised you could not understand a single line of it — you already know where this begins.
The front of the tin was confident. Strong bones. Sharp minds. A cartoon child, mid-leap. The back of the tin was a different document entirely: malt extract, liquid glucose, maltodextrin, permitted flavours, proprietary blend. Sugar, wearing four different names so you would not count it twice.
What struck us was not that it was bad. It was that it was designed not to be understood. Somebody had made a decision, in a meeting somewhere, that a parent should be reassured rather than informed.
We didn't want to make a better version of that tin.
We wanted to make its opposite.
The search
You cannot fix a formula. You have to start somewhere clean.
The temptation, when you set out to build a children's nutrition product, is to start with a list of impressive ingredients and go shopping. We did the opposite. We started with the milk — because in a pouch like this, the milk is most of the product, and everything else is a rounding error by comparison.
So we went looking for the best milk we could find, and we found it a long way from India: on certified-organic farms beside Australia's Great Ocean Road. Pasture grown without synthetic pesticides. Ocean air. Cows producing A2 milk — the protein cows made before generations of breeding introduced A1 into almost everything else on a shelf.

Then we found the thing we did not expect, and it became the detail we are proudest of. Most milk powders are made from milk powder — produced somewhere, shipped somewhere, stored for months or longer, then dried a second time when it is blended into a product. Ours is made from fresh milk and dried once. The farms and the facility sit together. The milk travels a short distance, not around the world.
It is a boring sentence. It is also the single hardest thing on this website for anybody else to copy.
The decisions
Then we spent a long time deciding what not to do.
We could have put a number about brain development on the front of the pack. It would have been legal, and it would have sold. We could have leaned on the word immunity. We could have implied, gently, that a child who drinks this grows taller than a child who does not.
We decided that every one of those sentences would cost us the only thing we actually have — which is a parent's willingness to believe the next thing we say.
So this is what we committed to instead.
Printed. No proprietary blends, nothing hidden behind a flavour description. If it is in the pouch, it is on the label with a number beside it.
Every batch checked for heavy metals, pesticide residues, aflatoxin, melamine and microbial safety — and checked that the amounts on the label are truly inside. Purity is the promise; testing is the receipt.
There is a little honey for taste, and honey is a sugar. We say so ourselves rather than wait for someone else to point it out.
No mascots, no cartoons, no games. We talk to parents. Children should not be marketed to about their own bodies.
We are new. We do not have ten years of customers or a shelf of trophies. You will find what we are still missing written down on this site, with dates.
Why India, and why now
Because the gap here is real, and it is measurable.
India's own national nutrition survey — one of the largest ever conducted anywhere — found that a significant share of children fall short on a specific handful of nutrients. Not exotic ones. Vitamin D. B12. Iodine. Iron. The ordinary, unglamorous nutrients that quietly matter, and that are hardest to get in a vegetarian household.
So we did not build a formula for a global average child and then ship it here. We looked at what Indian children are actually short of, and topped up those. That is also why the omega-3 comes from algae rather than fish — so a vegetarian family is not asked to make an exception.
Our job was never to improve the milk.
It was to not ruin it.
That is the whole philosophy, really. Start with something genuinely pure. Add only what a child here is genuinely short of. Print all of it. Test all of it. Claim none of it.
We are still finalising the last details of the formulation with our manufacturer, and we will not pretend to be finished before we are. The parents on our founding list will see the completed ingredient sheet before anyone else does — the whole thing, numbers and all.
