The gap here is real, and it's measurable.
India's own national nutrition survey — one of the largest ever conducted anywhere — found a meaningful share of children fall short on a specific, unglamorous handful of nutrients. Not exotic ones. The ordinary ones that quietly matter.

Hard to get in an indoor, urban childhood — regardless of how much sun a city technically has.
The one vegetarian households are most commonly short of, because it is hardest to get from a vegetarian plate.
Quietly important, and easy to fall short on.
Common to be short of, but we keep it measured rather than maximal. With iron, more is not better.
Most children's diets are short of it, vegetarian diets especially. Ours is grown, not fished — so a vegetarian family never has to make an exception.
And what we won't claim
We will tell you exactly what is in the pouch and how much. We will not tell you what it will do to your child — no promises about height, brains, exams or immunity.
Those claims sell tins. We decided the cost of making them was the only thing we actually have: your willingness to believe the next thing we say.
